Sakulkaew Resort

10 March 2009. The Sakulkaew Resort is a 4˝ kilometers to the east of city center, just north of highway 24. This is very much a country resort. You can fish out front. The owner says he is adding small boats to use on the lake next month. You will need a motorbike or car to get into town. It is an interesting place, if a but funky, so I took a lot of pictures.

come in are OK but I liked those to
the left better.
The Rooms appear pleasant and clean. The ones that each are in their own building seemed a bit better, however. There are different types in the various buildings. The husband and wife owners speak probably enough English to help with basics. There is a restaurant with pool table in a common area. The small rooms are 350 with air and 250 without. The VIP rooms are 550 baht. Rooms have TV, refrigerator and hot water. No wi fi or internet.

There is a special “home stay” room in a separate bamboo building for seven to ten people for 1100 baht per night. The bathrooms are in an adjacent building but appear clean and nice.
